Business cards serve as a fundamental marketing tool, providing a convenient and relatively inexpensive method to promote your business. They are often the first impression that prospects or business associates get of your company and can be a lasting reminder of your brand.

Key benefits include:

• Professional Image: A well-designed business card conveys professionalism and can enhance your brand’s image.

• Networking Aid: They facilitate easy sharing of contact information during networking events, making it simpler to establish business connections.

• Marketing Platform: Beyond contact details, business cards can showcase your brand’s identity, services, and unique selling points.

Incorporating media coverage and posters into your marketing strategy can significantly enhance your business’s visibility and credibility.

Media Coverage:

Gaining media attention offers several advantages:

• Enhanced Credibility: Positive media coverage establishes your business as a credible and noteworthy entity, fostering trust among potential customers.

• Increased Brand Awareness: Media exposure introduces your brand to a broader audience, expanding your reach and attracting new clientele.

• Improved Search Engine Rankings: Media mentions can boost your website’s visibility on search engines, driving organic traffic and potential leads.

Posters:

Utilizing posters as part of your marketing efforts provides distinct benefits:

• High Visibility: Strategically placed posters in high-traffic areas capture the attention of passersby, effectively conveying your message to a wide audience.

• Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to other advertising mediums, posters are a budget-friendly option, offering a high return on investment.

• Creative Flexibility: Posters allow for diverse design possibilities, enabling you to tailor your message and visuals to resonate with your target audience.

Integrating both media coverage and posters into your marketing strategy can lead to increased brand recognition, customer engagement, and business growth.

FINAL PRODUCT FOR LOYALTY CARD
Front
Back

To design this loyalty card for my client, I used an app called Canva. I started with a pre-sized card template and customized the background colour to pink to align with the client's theme. I added glowing text on the front that says, "You're so loyal!" and included her Instagram handle, @Nailedbyvicky. I made some adjustments to ensure everything looked polished and visually appealing.

I maintained a cohesive design for the back of the card but added 10 heart icons for stamping, allowing her to reward loyal customers for each appointment they book.

FINAL PRODUCT

To design this business card for my client, I used the same app as for the loyalty card. I started with a pre-sized business card template and set a soft pink gradient background to create a stylish and elegant look. I then added the text “Nailed By Vicky” in an ornate gold script font with a glowing effect to enhance its sophistication. To ensure functionality, I designed the back of the card with the same aesthetic while incorporating essential contact details in a structured layout. I also included a QR code linked to her Instagram, allowing customers to quickly access her page and book appointments seamlessly.

Final

To create this poster, I used Canva and started with an A4-sized document. I applied a soft pink background and layered a faded image of a nail studio on top to add depth. The main text, “You’re not depressed, just book an appointment,” is styled with a mix of bold and script fonts to create contrast. I added a neon effect to make the text pop against the background. To highlight the client’s Instagram presence, I incorporated an iPhone mockup featuring a screenshot of her Instagram page, making it easy for viewers to recognize her brand and work. The handle “@NAILEDBYVICKY” is emphasized with a vibrant pink glow to ensure visibility and reinforce branding.

Client Feedback

I've sent my work to my client and I feel that she was very happy with the results and that I have exceeded her expectations.

Evaluation
I started by creating a mind map and conducting a skills audit to outline the tasks and abilities I wanted to focus on. This helped me structure my approach and ensure that my work would align with my goals. My client, NailedByVicky, runs an independent nail business specializing in acrylic nails and gel services. Through my research and interview with her, I gained a clear understanding of her brand and business needs. My objective was to elevate her branding through a redesigned logo, a new business card, and promotional materials, all to grow her client base.

I conducted research into marketing tools like business cards, posters, and media coverage to ensure my designs would be both practical and effective. I also spent time profiling her target audience, considering factors like age, interests, and spending habits. This allowed me to tailor my designs to appeal to her primary audience of beauty enthusiasts and professionals who value quality service and creativity.

One of my main tasks was a loyalty card. I designed it using Canva, incorporating a pink colour scheme and glowing text to create a cohesive look. I added heart icons for stamping, which allows the client to track customer visits and reward loyalty. This design not only enhances customer engagement but also reflects her brand's playful and feminine aesthetic.

I also created a business card with a soft pink gradient background and an elegant gold script font for the logo. I included essential details on the back, along with a QR code that links directly to her Instagram. This design makes it easy for potential customers to connect with her online while maintaining a professional appearance.

Finally, I designed a promotional poster with a bold and eye-catching layout. I used a soft pink background and layered it with an image of a nail studio to add depth. The neon text and Instagram mockup emphasize the client’s online presence, making it clear how viewers can find and interact with her brand. This design successfully combines vibrant visuals with clear messaging to attract her target audience.

Overall, this experience has allowed me to demonstrate my creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. I am proud of how I have been able to align my designs with NailedByVicky’s brand identity while addressing her marketing needs. Moving forward, I plan to explore additional ways to evaluate the impact of my designs, such as gathering customer feedback or comparing branding materials before and after my project.
